Everything’s happening so fast

Hi everyone!

– And sorry for being so out of touch with the blog, but life got in the way..

Right now is the first time in ages that I have a moment to spare, to sit down, be bored, watch a movie, write my blog and so on. The only thing I have been persistent in updating, is my Instagram! So do take a look, there is a lot of new pictures!

Right now I am relaxing, drinking Cuba watermelon mixed with Carlsberg sport (pop basically) – It’s gorgeous, you guys got to try it if you haven’t! It’s so hot outside, it’s finally spring in Denmark, so I thought it was the perfect drink for the evening – not that I drink a lot, but today just called for it! But while I’m drinking this, I am watching a movie on netflix called ”Safe Haven”, a really good movie I might add, watch it sometime, but I gotta warn ya, its a ”girly movie” as my fiancé would put it. 😉

Tomorrow we are spending time with my family, firing up the grill and having some steaks and sausages, yum! I can’t wait, it’s gonna be awesome! 😛

I am happier than ever in life, I love my fiancé and every day, he makes me happy that I’m with him. It’s corny, but I even love cooking for him. I love spoiling him, making him lunches for work, just anything that makes his life a little easier, and why? Because I love him, just because I simply love him. He makes me smile, laugh and just stronger. I would never have dared starting my education as a Care Assistant if it wasn’t for him. He made me who I am in a way, he patched up a part of me that I had no idea was broken. He have been struggling real hard to find a job here in Denmark, not just any job, but a job as a tiler, and he found it! He is now working as a tiler in a small company and have made some great friends too, that just makes me so happy, I’m insanely proud of him!

Life is just so insanely exciting as a Care Assistant intern. I have tried a lot of things, that even some educated Care Assistants haven’t – or so they told me! 😉

I gave B12 intramuscularly – which means ”injection into the muscle”, that was probably the most intense injection I’ve tried so far! 😮 The needle is huge, or so it seems the first time you give the injection, I was calm on the outside, but inside I was shaking a little.. It went perfectly fine, no bleeding or anything and it went into the muscle perfectly, so I was happy and so was the patient! 😀

I have dealt a lot with insulin injections, their fairly easy, and so is the blood sugar measurements, but their a lot of fun, and its a whole new chapter that’s opening up for me, having to study about it and get into the whole ”fast working insulin and slow working insulin”, it’s so exciting!

I have worked with catheter’s too, observing them, inserting them, rinsing them, changing them and so on. That’s pretty cool too, even tho’ inserting them can be a challenge! No ones alike down there, just sayin’ 😀 haha!

Then I have tried to change an Ostomy, which can be really tricky and also messy, but luckily it weren’t – that time! 😛

I have probably done a lot more, but I have honestly forgotten, because I have been allowed to do so many new things, and I love the fact that I have! I have the best mentor, I can only ever say good things about her, I have to be at this place for 6 months, and I’m not wanting to leave the place at all! ❤ Even tho its way out at the country side, where there is farms and files n’ miles of fields! But it’s just beautiful..

So as you all can read, everything seems to just be working out for us (me and my fiancé), we have struggled a bit, but that’s over now, I can’t wait for the summer vacation, having his kids over, just like last year, I miss them very much. ❤

I hope you guys had as good a day as I have, I couldn’t have hoped for a better day, it was very busy, with a hairdressers appointment, grocery shopping, dog sitting, washing clothes and snapping pictures, but I loved today, every second of it!

See you online! x

Looking back at 2014

How was my 2014? What do I wish to add to my resolutions in 2015? What do I wanna remember and what did I treasure in 2014?

It was first of all a year of new-found confidence in myself, a year where I found strength and pursued happiness, the beginning of 2014 was dark for me, and hard, filled with a lot of mistakes and things that I wished I had taken care of in 2013 or even the year before that.

Here is a little resumé of events:

A trip to Thailand in the beginning for 2014 in late February was a welcomed event and I fell in love with the country, the people and of course the faith they have! (I have always been into buddhism) I learned to stand tall in Thailand, speak up and to be a bit on my own, in a different country. I was there with my mom and sister, and they weren’t fond of speaking too much english, so I jumped in and translated and spoke, ordred and took charge. I went off on my own, to explore Thailand too, which was amazing and relaxing and an eye opener, that showed me, that I can be on my own, and be just fine.

A break up with my ex was also one of the events that occured in 2014, a goodbye to six years of relationship, but not in my case with sadness, but relief and a new-found condidence and strength. It was not the right thing for me, and I did not feel happy, and being with someone should make you happy. It seemed to get me down all the time, and I felt that I was walking down a very wrong path in my life. It was for the best, and it taught me to live alone in my flat, and to appriciate myself and the friends that chose to support me through this difficult and turbulent time, rather than to judge me and point fingers.

A garden plot was rented, and I spend a lot of time there, growing my own vegstables, flowers and fruit and tending to my plants, it was relaxing, just like therapy and I needed to do a lot of thinking and soul-searching in 2014, and that, I did in my garden, my little escape, and my place of solitude. I love my garden, and am keeping it in 2015, where I want to do even more gardening, and grow more healthy vegstables and fruit, that I can take with me home and cook/eat. That garden was my escape from a turbulent time in my life, and it made me so happy.

Two sisters finding eachother. My bigsister has been at my place a lot in 2014 ever since I got to be on my own, and we have found strength in eachother, and become a lot closer, I am truly blessed to have her in my life and I can’t help but think, that closing one door always opens another, this year I closed many doors, but also opened many, and one of the doors I opened, and that I am very thankful for, is this one. My bigsister and her youngest son, has been stopping by my place a lot, and we have watched movies, had take-out, went out for photo-shoots with the dogs, and had many hours of happiness together, and a lot of bonding. Things have been so much easier this year, with my bigsister around, and I could not be happier to have such an amazing sister!

Finding happiness was not easy, it was frustrating, hard and turbulent but also so rewarding and heart warming and a healing experience for me, a time of growth and self-awareness. A new chapter of my life started in year 2014, where I found the man I wanna spend my life with and where his family also became my family. Two trips to the UK has been made in the year of 2014, where I went by myself, to be with the man I love, and I have gotten a lot more confident traveling alone, and being in another country on my own. The relationship grew so fast, and became so much more than I ever hoped for or dreamed of, we are so happy in eachothers company, and I feel stronger, more organized and just so full of curage and drive when I am with him. This is how I want to be, this is the person I wanna be when I am with someone I love. I did not only become someones girlfriend and joined his family, but I also became a bonus mom for three adorable kids, and started a fantastic friendship with the mother of the kids too. I feel surrounded by happiness and I have never experienced so much love, my heart has not only healed, it has also grown. I found so much happiness in England in 2014 and for that, I am truly grateful.

The things in 2014 that I wanna keep:

My fantastic garden, staying as close to my sister as I became in 2014 and my amazing boyfriend and his whole family, my friends that supported me through rough times.

For my resolutions in 2015 I wanna add:

Being more active, getting more confidence in myself and believing that I can accomplish things I set my mind to, spending more time with the kids.

I know I neglected the blog a bit, and for that I am truly sorry, but 2014 has been a hard year, but an eye opener! In 2015 I will write a lot more amazing stuff about make-up, outfits and styles and decoration! Be aware, the posts will be raining down in here, have a good 2015 people, and I hope you had a great year in 2014, and have a lot of fantastic things to take with you into the new year!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2014!

Tivoli at New Year's in Copenhagen!

This is Tivoli at New Year’s in Copenhagen!

Tomorrow it’s New Year’s eve, and we will be sipping champagne, wishing the best for our families and loved ones, and looking back at the year 2013 with many emotions, mine this past year is joy and accomplishment, also growth and difficult times, but the year of 2014 it upon us, and we can wash the slate clean, and start all over, and say ”I did this, and now, I will do better/be happier/be smarter in the year to come.”

I have learned a lot about myself, and who I am as a person, how I want my life and my future to be like. I am a lucky person, I just did not notice and I took a lot of things for granted, but not anymore. My New Year’s resolution is all about noticing the little things and appreciating what I have right here and right now, cause life is unexpected, and you never know what might change. I am a lucky girl though, having a good and trustworthy man to spend my life with and a great apartment close to the city, and many amazing friends and of course my family.

I hope everyone remembers this little thing, that I surely will do in the year of 2014, take a jar, and for every amazing thing that happens, write it on a post it, and put it in the jar and in the year’s end, 2015 – open it after 24:00 and read them out loud for the friends, family whatever! Appreciate your life some more, be happy about small things, many of us are so lucky.. Living in a good country, having friends, husband’s/wife’s and family around us. Not everyone is that fortunate, I will make sure to remember every single day, that I am blessed in so many ways.

This New Year’s eve nail polish dye is gold, and what better polish to use than this one!

Sugared Spice by Bluesky Shellack

I love glitter and glam at New Year’s, so I used this! Its an awesome color, and will go great with any color of dress, (which I haven’t even picked out yet!), I am in a dilemma and will have to go look at dresses tomorrow, who knows, maybe I will find something! (If not, I will probably just have to wear something from Even and Odd, which I have ordered a few weeks ago!)

What are you guys wearing and doing for New Year’s? Do tell! Hope everyone will have a great night and an amazing year of 2014 – go celebrate guys!

I am writing this post a little bit early, actually a day too early, but I will be preparing a New Year’s meal for my family and friends this year, the menu we will be having; shrimp cocktail with home made dressing, roast beef with cream potatoes and a chocolate tart with cherries and whipped cream! What is your menu looking like? (Mine is a little simple, but hey, it’s the first time I am preparing such a big dinner all by myself) – But hey, maybe my dad and man will help out a bit! Here’s for hoping!

Well, nothing left to say than: HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!! – Be safe!
