Life lately

A girls hair is her secret weapon, or at least I think so.. And my hair is definitely what makes me feel attractive and feminine. So August (almost at the end of August), I spoiled myself by visiting my hairdresser and getting a new hair color and some reflexes made. – It was highly needed, since it’s been ages ago that I went to the hairdressers.

So I’ll give you guys some before and after pictures below! 😄

A before picture

The after picture

The result is just perfect, and I’m so happy that I listened to my hairdresser and what she thought would suit me, sometimes it just works out better than imagined!

At the beginning of September I finally got myself dragged to the opticians to get my glasses ordered – not one of my fondest experiences tho.. I have to wear them every day, normally I just need reading glasses, but my sight got worse through the years apparently. So I ended up buying Karen Millen glasses and am crossing my fingers and hoping I won’t get worse eye sight any time soon. – I really don’t like glasses much, that’s the honest truth! I feel geeky with them on (More than I already am yes!) and most of them don’t fit my petite face – it looks like the glasses are wearing me and not me wearing the glasses.. So I ended up with a pair that wasn’t that bold, even tho I wanted bold, go bold or go home right?! But I just don’t suit bold glasses..

A close up of me and my new glasses!

So that’s my glasses, nothing big or extreme, just a classic look, it was horribly to pick out glasses – I was torn between this model from Karen Millen and a Hugo Boss model. To be fair, I adored both of them, but these fit me the best. I hope that I’ll get more confident wearing them, but right now I’m not thrilled.. But it’s better than not being able to see properly or have headaches all the time..

Hope your month was as good?

The nude make up look

The very natural nude look that I love so much, with a gorgeous bold eyeliner!
Things I used:

Rimmel 25HR Lasting Finish foundation: I have never really used Rimmel foundation before, but I picked this up in UK and found it to be fantastic, I blend it with a sponge tho, to make it more natural looking, it’s a very good coverage.

Maybelline Master Presice: The best wet eyeliner on the market in my opinion! I love the real thin lines it makes and how precise it is, the name suits it.

Max Factor Masterpiece Transform mascara: This is a newly purchased mascara, but it’s my absolute favorite one, it separates the lashes and makes them all black and very long. It looks very natural, it lasts the entire day, doesn’t peel off and doesn’t clump. It’s great!

Urban Decay Naked3 Palette: I love the nude tones this amazing palette has, the brown tones with no shimmer was what I used this time. Limit as an all over the lid base, Nooner as a dark crease color and also used at the sides of my lid, to strengthen the liner and then Strange for under the brow, and in the corner of my eyes, to create light. The colors blend so well and their amazing to work with.

Maybelline Brow Drama Brow Mascara: This is a fantastic thing, I am totally addicted! It makes my brows pop, but also looks natural, like their not colored – which I really love. They make the brows stay on their wished place and I am using the Dark Brown color, which is the best for my brow tone.

MAC Brave Lipstick: This lipstick is the one that’s so hot and heavy right now, everyone seems to be all crazy about this shade, Brave is the “it” color, I got this by my Bigsister, I actually love this, it fits my skin tone very well.
Do you guys love a specific make up look? I’m all about the nude and natural, with a hint of smokey eyes. I can’t help but think it’s beautiful and Classic.

See you online guys! x

Dream wonder nude foundation -Maybelline and the Real Techniques sponge

Women are as different as snowflakes, no one are alike, finding the perfect foundation for a woman, is like finding your new favorite dessert! Pure joy!

Being difficult with foundations, I always seek out new ones, try new and upcoming products and this one from Maybelline is one of them. – It’s a gorgeous foundation, feather light and you only need to use a few drops, believe it or not, it’s actually true!

This foundation blends well with my skin, suits my skin tone (I use the second most light one which is a 20 I believe?) I love the feel of this foundation, it’s like liquid silk, truly gorgeous and easy to work with! It does not cover up a lot, it makes you look natural, the coverage is about a medium I would say, not too light but not fully – which for me is quite nice.

It does not make my skin greasy or overly dry, it actually does not tamper with my skin at all, another huge plus!

If you want a real good advice – use a sponge to the more delicate areas of your face as eyes or around your mouth and so on, I can recommend Real Techniques sponge, it’s amazing used with this foundation.

Bought this baby for 5 pounds in the UK just before Christmas, I have been addicted ever since. Every time I apply foundation, I use this for the more delicate areas. It blends the foundation out amazingly!

Have you girls ever tried one of these products? Do tell if you have any knowledge, I would like your opinion too. You can also use a foundation brush, but I think this sponge evens the foundation out better, it’s totally “Mia proof” aka I’m a little clumsy!

My opinion about the Maybelline Wonder Nude foundation:

  • Foundation blends well
  • Is silky and lovely
  • Does not dry out your skin
  • Makes you look natural
  • The price is very nice
  • Only a few drops are needed
  • Easy to work with
  • A little bit runny when applied

Five stars all over!

Why not the last star??

Well the foundation is very runny, almost alive, which can make it a little stressful to apply to a sponge, brush or fingers, and not drop anything, that can be a little annoying, but besides that, it’s quite nice to work with and blends so easy!

My opinion about the Real Techniques sponge:

  • So simple to use
  • Addicting
  • Makes any foundation look great
  • Compact to have in any make-up bag
  • Soft and gentle when used on your skin
  • Price is affordable and quite cheap
  • A must have for any woman

A maximum of 6 stars for this little wonderful sponge!

Why so many stars??

Well I think you guys should try it out for yourselves and then you will definitely know how amazing this is! I will 100% repurchase this, it’s all about the natural look for me, and this sponge makes me achieve it.

See you online guys x

Urban Decay purchase

IMG_5408

This evening I decided to buy the Naked 3 palette, I’m always in need of eyeshadow, I never seem to have any proper shades and I never seem to have proper shades to mix with. I love smokey eyes, but not too dark though, so this will give me a perfect choice for light smokey eyes!

Have you guys ever used the naked palettes? What do you think of them? I just kinda gave this one a try, only due to reputation!

I hope their great and I can’t wait to receive mine, I ordered it for my boyfriends address in England and saved quite a lot of money on it by doing so, my dear boyfriend even helped me look for the best price, he is a cutie! x He can find anything cheaper it seems, he is just a lucky charm! XD

What do you guys think? Urban Decay or MAC, battle of the brands! I can’t tell yet – not till I actually got this baby home and tested, I can’t wait!

See you online guys!

Beauty sleep yeah right

I suffer from insomnia a lot, so I’m up all night sometimes.. When I wake up in the morning, no matter if I have had insomnia or had a great nights sleep, I always seem to look like one of those small trolls with the bright colored hair! My hair just has a mind of its own!

I swear, once I ran around thinking I had a good hair day, but I forgot to check my hair in the back… It was a disaster, I looked like a hobo! A no go to a day out around lots of people shopping that’s for sure.. I only saw the disaster when I came home, how great was that? .. Not that great at all.

But to be honest, I’m like that, I can get quite unlucky with some things, and really lucky with others! Haha

Have you guys ever had a really bad hair day? My worst one was when a hairdresser accidentally colored my hair green…. Yes GREEN! I went from a blond (The summer had made it that way) to a brunette, which I normally am, and it got to be green.. Brown with a sickly green tint to it, I felt like hiding!

I also had extensions, the ones you heat up and they stick around pieces of your own hair.. Never do that girls…. I had BALD spots some places, cause my hair couldn’t carry the weight of the extension and it broke! But damn it looked so good while it lasted, my hair is not amazingly thick, and that’s one thing I would really love! Long thick hair.. – Would be amazing.

Hope you guys had better luck with your hair than I had haha, see you online! xx
